The
Desert Peach is Pfirsich Rommel, the gay younger
brother of Erwin Rommel. The able commander of a German army
battalion and the understanding father figure to a gaggle of
ne'er-do-well would-be soldiers, the Peach is a man of integrity and
peace thrust into a conflict he finds appalling. He is intensely
loyal: to his men, his brother, his lover, and his country. But
he always finds himself torn: between ideals and duty, love and
conscience, responsibility and regulation.
